WELCOME TO THE GADEN SHARTSE 2004/2005 TOUR SCHEDULE IN SACRAMENTO November 11-14, 2004 VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY BUDDHIST TEMPLE (DIEU QUANG TEMPLE) 9229 Elder Creek Road Sacramento, CA 95829 Phone: (916) 381-4360 Monks from Gaden/Shartse Monastery in Mundgod, India, will create a Medicine Buddha Sand Mandala at the Vietnamese Community Buddhist Temple/Dieu Quang Temple in Sacramento, commencing 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2004. The Temple will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. November 11th through the 14th, so that the public may witness the monks creating this very special and intricate mandala. A ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 14, explaining the meaning of the mandala and its dissolution. The master of the Vietnamese Dieu Quang Temple, Master Tinh Lac, will officiate at the dissolution ceremony, along with an English-speaking Gaden/Shartse monk.
